however it is best to allow a full hour.

Furniture and Decorations
  • The church has 15 rows of pews on either side of the centre aisle (14m long), with additional rows alongside them and in the transepts.

There are a number of small wooden tables suitable for your orders of service, photographs, and flowers, as well as a large wooden communion table on the stage for flowers, the marriage register, a Bible, a cross, candles, etc.

The stage also has a signing table and chairs.

  • The piano and pews may not be moved from their set position.

Other furniture may only be moved by Church Officers, so please ask them to arrange it as you’d like during the rehearsal.

During December, there is a Christmas tree in the church which cannot be moved.

  • All decorations must be easily attached and contain no adhesives so that they can be easily removed at the end of the ceremony.

You may not have any live candles in the church, apart from a ceremonial one lit by the Minister.

No confetti, rice or petals may be thrown inside the church.

TUC has an active worshipping congregation that hangs decorations in the church to celebrate Easter and Christmas, and they may be moved.

  • The church will be available for you to decorate one and a half hours prior to the ceremony.

If you plan to have a large setup, we can organise for your rehearsal to be on the night before your wedding so that you may leave your decorations up overnight.

  • TUC has a brass cross that can be placed on the communion table, along with a Christ Candle.

We also have white bows that can be attached to the ends of the centre pews.

  • TUC can provide up to four white vases, each in the shape of an urn, along with six wooden pedestals, two of which are matching.

If you wish to use our vases, you will need to arrange to pick them up prior to the day and bring them back clean afterwards.

Flowers can be placed on any of the tables.

  • Your guests may not throw any confetti, rice or petals inside the church.

Only natural petals may be thrown outside.

  • There are limited parking spaces on-site for your wedding party, photographers, florists and other vendors on the day.

In addition to those spaces, there is ample room for wedding party vehicles at the front of the church, as well as up to three accessible parking spaces.

For other guests, we recommend parking on nearby side streets including Irving Road, St Georges Road and Heyington Place.

  • If you are organising any specialty vehicles, please check with the Office first to arrange parking, noting that not all requests will be possible due to the nature of the church property.

Hall and other Room Hire
