Introduction

We are a people who follow Jesus. His words and actions inform our living.

We welcome all people irrespective of race, religion, political views, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, or age. Wherever you are on your faith journey, wherever you have come from and wherever you are going to; whatever you believe, whatever you do not believe, you are welcome here at Toorak Uniting Church.

Our Church is open from 9am–4pm weekdays for prayer, meditation and contemplation. Feel free to take some time out in this wonderful space. If the spirit moves you, take the self-guided tour of our beautiful stained glass windows – tour booklets are at the rear of the church.

Toorak Uniting Church (TUC) had its origins in the Toorak Presbyterian Church, established in 1875 with the Rev. Murdoch MacDonald as Minister.

The Uniting Church in Australia was born in 1977, as a union of the Methodist, Congregational and Presbyterian Churches, founded on The Basis of Union.

TUC is a progressive church built on the foundations of community, contemporary understandings of the Bible and a commitment to outreach and service.

Toorak Uniting Church has been a proud member of the Toorak Ecumenical Movement since signing the Ecumenical Agreement in 1980. We study together in Lenten Studies,  we worship together at Easter, Pentecost and Advent; and we pray for our partner churches: St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St John’s Anglican Church and the Swedish Church.
