Faith Fellowship meeting to be held on Zoom.

 

The Rev Dr Christopher Page will be leading a “Previewing the Lectionary” fellowship meeting each Tuesday at 7:30pm using Zoom, an online meeting platform.

 

The discussion will focus on the lectionary reading, Luke 24: 44 – 53. If you would like to participate, please email the office - office@toorakuc.org.au and you will be sent an electronic invitation with the access details.

Great News: Covid-19 Restrictions are easing -

Toorak Uniting is once again opening its doors to those who wish attend services or to hire the available venues.

 

Gatherings

  • Up to 20 people may participate in indoor gatherings, subject to the four square metre rule (one person per four square metres).

  • Weddings increase to 20 people, plus the celebrant and the couple.

  • Both indoor and outdoor funerals increase to 50 people, in addition to any people reasonably required to conduct the funeral.

  • Private worship or small religious ceremonies increase to up to 20 people plus people reasonably required for the ceremony.

Please note that the Congregation of Toorak Uniting Church seeks to ensure the hygiene and social distancing requirements of the Victorian Chief Health Officer's COVID-19 health directions are observed by all members of the public using church facilities. 

Accordingly, if you wish to make a booking we will require you to:

  1. Maintain a register of all attendees names and contact mobile/email for the possible purpose of tracing in the event an attendee falls ill with COVID-19,

  2. Ensure all attendees wash their hands using water and soap or by using alcohol based hand cleansing products before entering onto TUC premises,

  3. Maintain social distancing rules when in attendance, and

  4. Not attend if they feel unwell. 

If you can comply with the above requirements, we'll be delighted to accommodate your booking.

During our services, an offering bowl is passed around. While this is not possible during an online service, you can donate your

offering by direct credit to Toorak Uniting's bank account. The details are:

Pastoral Care in the time of Covid19

 

The Rev Dr Christopher Page and Rev John Edwards are available for pastoral care and the office phones are being attended by Bronwen and Anne from 9:30 to 4:30pm, with the exception of days of staff illness. 

Even when the office is unattended due to illness, the email will be monitored remotely. Be assured that your email will reach the right person, but do please be patient.

We ask that you do not physically visit the office at this time, to minimize the risk to yourselves and to our staff.

 

If you would be available to assist members of the congregation who might be in need of assistance with grocery deliveries and/or meals and/or telephone company due to self-isolation restrictions, the leader of the pastoral care team, Christine Brown would appreciate hearing from you.
