Introduction

We welcome all people irrespective of race, religion, political views, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, or age. Wherever you are on your faith journey, wherever you have come from and wherever you are going to; whatever you believe, whatever you do not believe, you are welcome here at Toorak Uniting Church.

Toorak Uniting Church (TUC) had its origins in the Toorak Presbyterian Church, established in 1875 with the Rev. Murdoch MacDonald as Minister.

The Uniting Church in Australia was born in 1977, as a union of the Methodist, Congregational and Presbyterian Churches, founded on The Basis of Union.

TUC is a progressive church built on the foundations of community, contemporary understands of the Bible and a commitment to outreach and service.

As a Christian community we are committed to the wider ecumenical purposes of the UCA. We work closely in fellowship with local churches including St John’s Anglican Church, St Peter’s Catholic Church and the Swedish Church as a part of the Ecumenical Movement
